Question Temperature Question E320C W210
What is the normal temperature a 1996 E320C W210 temperature gauge should run at?

87 deg C. One needle width above 80 deg C.

my '96 E320 runs at 97-98 during summer and around 90 during winter... for years

2003 E320 4Matic Wagon & 1997 E320
The 87 deg C is pretty much the minimum operating temp.

The W210 thermostat will start opening at 78 - 82 deg C. It won't fully open until 94 deg C. It can pretty much running at anywhere between 87 - 100 deg C, depending on engine load. In the summer with AC on and in stop and go traffic, it can even go to 110 deg C.

my mb;'s have always run at ~90, i was told that's the right temperature, and when i drive up mountain roads with the ac on, i have always reached the 100. i thought
