CD-changer error message
hi all, i'm new to this forum. i've been a proud owner of a 97 E420. Up to now, it's given me few problems. However, when i was switching cds while driving yesterday and all of a sudden the head unit displayed an error message (CD ERROR) and it switched to radio mode automatically.
It give the same message if I tried to push "CD" again. When I arrived home, I checked the cd changer and tried to eject the magazine, but it would not! It makes the mechanical whirring sound, but something seems to be jammed and the magazine does not come out! After a brief inspection, I couldn't determine an easy way to remove the magazine manually withoud damaging anything.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with this? Any advice would be great!
