1996 E 200 w210
Help please theres a creaking noise comming from the rear o/s suspension when driveing over little bumps and when i push the back of the car down i had a look there is a lot of bushes there i cant identify which bush is creaking can anyone help is this a common problem ?

Bush
lol your all nuts .....a bush is what we call the rubber mounts on wishbones ..the round rubbber bits ..maybe the American cousins call them doughnuts ? ...........And you cant hear it inside the car ..but drive slowly with head out the window you can hear a creak ..its definetly a rubber bit finding it is the hard bit im on the case lol

Try spraying your bush(ings) with WD40.
You will probably use 2 cans or so.
Make sure to use the attachment and spray in between the bushings and the metal components.
Saw my mechanic do this and it solved the problem.

This will only be a temporary fix in regards to the noise because if there is a worn or cracked bushings, this should be replaced ASAP.
