Sub woofer with Bose
I have the "Upgraded" Bose sound system in my '2000, but it sounds terrible. The one in my Jeep Liberty puts it to shame. Even my wife asked how come the stereo in the Jeep sounds so much better than the one in the Mercedes. I added a small powered sub woofer that fits under the driver's seat to the Liberty, and it makes all the difference in the world. Is there one like that I could add to E-Class? I looked in the truck underneath the back window, and there are two speakers there - I guess they are the sub woofers. There are an additional two holes there I could add speakers to. I really don't want to put a box in the trunk - I just need to add a little more bottom end to the system. The main thing is that they should be powered. Anything out there like that?

Unfortunately, the W210 is not known for trunk space,as you so readily found out. Believe it or not,my w211 actually has more space than my former/your current W210 has. Only thing I could suggest is searching out JL Audio's subwoofers, and an alpine sub amp, just look for the smallest of JL's wooofers so that you can conserve space. They hit really hard, and they may rival your Jeep. I have the dual 12"s transplanted from my w210 to my w211 below ,and it's the best, and I'm happy with the sound, only thing that can drown me out now is an 18 wheeler.....

Yes, it is a small sealed box. It is a Mopar part, and it fits under the seat perfectly. It gives just the right amount of kick to your butt! I really like it. I bought it at my Jeep dealer, and had them install it. Yes, it is powered, and never distorts.

When did you leave us 210's behind ruffrob? But it's all good!......and how are you liking the 211?
