Parallel port female connector with CD Interface connector

After removing of a few carpeted panels from my trunk in my '97 E300, I had found the CD changer connector (which I will be connecting an Alpine MP3 6-disc changer to) and a parallel female port connector along with the cell phone interface. I want to find out how I can use this parallel port to diagnose my car and what other features this plug has to offer.

One more thing.... anyone ever use those Xpel headlamp covers? And where to buy them?

You can do Alpine's CHA-S634 changer and add to that an additional Alpine connector model number I forgot..KAC30 or something like that for about 9.99 and then Soundgate makes an interface adaptor cable to use the OEM MB wiring and your're all set. You can get these at a Circuit City, I know because it's the department I work in.

Aftermarket component diagram....

[OEM 10 pin plug] > [2 part SoundGate plug] > [Alpine m-bus 2 AI-Net adaptor] > [Alpine CHAS-634]

MP3s.... RW's rejoice!
