E320 Engine Problems

1999 E320 - Desert Silver
E320 Engine Problems
I just put a down payment down on a '99 E320 Desert Silver.
It only has 19K miles. Got it for $29K. Research showed
that's Trade-in Kelly Blue Book value. Spent an afternoon checking the car out at the wholesaler and found no major problems with it and enjoyed the test drive. I'll be picking it up in three days. Can't wait!
Anyway, a co-worker of mine indicated that he heared
there were talks about problems with E320 Engines. He
wasn't sure what year and which engine type. I search
this forum and found nothing about chronic engine problems.

1993 MERCEDES BENZ 300TE
the 112 series engine does not have may problems,the balancer is one ,if the e class is an early version,,is may have a concern with cam shafts,but they have corrected this concern
