warranty pays off
My "new" starmarked e430 which I got a little more than a month ago had a terrible sunroof failure. One morning I tried to open the sunroff and I hear this grinding noise and the roff opened up only about 4 inches. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it same day. The sunroof motor needed to be replaced ( the toothed pulleys inside it broke, that would explain the grind). When I picked up the car the invoice had N/C all over it and the car was washed as well. Love that warranty. ALso the dealership came trough and got me this CD changer which was advertised on sticker but missing from the trunk when I got it. They got tired of me calling them
Get the warranty if you can!! This was a small part but out of curiosity anyone knows how much the window motor cost?

My error sorry. I meant sunroof motor. It is like a window to the sky isn't it?
The CD changer was free. Just plug in and it worked.
thanks for the estimate.

I had one of the sales managers explain that when they get their cars from lease returns many of them do not have the CD changers initially instslled. People were just taking them out. He said that MBUSA tried to bill people for the changers but that it was a pain to get the money back. Bad lease owners or salesman in stealerships, someone is making money on those changers. I just can't understand why they would then try to pass a car without a CD changer even though it is advertised as having one.
Buyer be ware I guess. I don't even ask where my changer come from, just glad that they made it right.
