Is this right price??

I am looking into 1997 E-420 Sports with all the option except front seat heaters. Brilliant Silver with Black leather inside.

Xenon head lights, rear sun shade, sports AMG wheels and AMG Kit.

It is one owner car. The car has 250000 miles. Current original owner bought the car in Dec, 1997.

Car inside and out look fine. I ran autocheck and came out clean.

One thing owner told me that he has to replace tranny at 120000 miles. It was done at MB dealer.

How much you think it worth??

I am willing to offer no more then $4000.

if the car is in good shape and everything works fine in the car i think $4000 is a really good price. m119 is a great engine, plus you got the amg wheels/kit and suspension. but i doubt the owner will let it go for $4000. i'm thinking more like $6-7k.

I own a 1999 W210 Mercedes.
Depends On The Maintenance....

Well Benz's Have Been Known To Go Forever, And If The Car Was Maintained Well And Feels Like It Runs Good I Say $4000 Is A Good Price.

kbb said around $9k even with 250000 miles, so i highly doubt someone would sell a 1997 e420(m119) with amg kit/wheels/suspension and xenon headlights for $4k.

KBB Fair value for dealer trade in

I got following pricing for dealer trade in.

Condition Value

Excellent
$7,550

Good
$6,820

Fair
$5,535

So look like I can bargain up to $5500.

I know in 2008 the New E-Class is coming out, so W210 prices will fall more sharply then W211.

Nope, the redesigned E-Class is due out in 2009. As of 2007, there is a facelift version for E350, E550 (new for 2007) and E55.

I don't think I would buy any car with 250,000 miles, new transmission or otherwise. I think the new transmission might have been necessary because the original owner did not take very good care of the car.
