anyway, i'm off to w124 land, where we have someone building a car that WILL run with 911's...
sorry I don't smile with glee when someone tells me that a 220bhp car that weighs 3600lbs pulls like a ****. Maybe if you're used to a 3 cylinder geo metro.

Wow, a car that will run with 911s. Been there, done that, and spanked the 911 GT2. maybe I'll be impressed when he's done.

anyways ZedStyle just noticed that member ur talking about really deserves respect for putting so much effort into a M103-powered Benz. I guess if I won the lottery i'd build a benz that would alse RUN with 911s as well
since when is it a lemon. After fixing a variety of annoying issues, its actually been quite problem free.

Speaking of children, how old are you again? What are you supposed to do when your child lies publicly? Teach us oh wise parent.

I don't think there are any inherent problems with the 420 engine (MB also used it in some W140 S-Class) but I have read the 430 is a superior engine. You should be able to find a 98+ E430 in your price range, and I would recommend as new a one with the fewest miles as possible.

I used to own a 1998 E430 that I bought with 117,000 that ran well but when the A/C went out I traded it for my E320. I really miss those 8 cylinders!!

Right here buddy, been in his car while taking out a CLK430.

Nothing but that Gruppe M and Magnaflow. Even before the exhaust the car pulled just as hard.

racing old ladies who are dawdling their way to the country club in westchester doesn't count.

lighter car+more power+more torque+idiot proof automatic tranny=victory.

physics doesn't lie.

I would chastise many of you for bickering, but I'm on a tropical island at the moment, so the will is not there.

I'm still not getting how TG's E320 with exhaust and intake generates over 50 HP and torque to spank a 430. How is that possible?

can I ask a question?

if these things are important to you, why did you buy a mercedes sedan?

Isn't the point of an MB to look classy? Doing burnouts is not really classy.

If thats what you were looking for, why not get a mustang/camaro/firebird?

not to mention, showing off while driving is dangerous and can get you hurt or in trouble with law enforcement.

This is a discussion forum isn't it? People are entitled to their opinions... it's amazing how some people doesn't want to hear any negatives toward their cars. Thread starter asked opinions and he got them. Most are good but some are bad. Get used to it!

I wouldn't understand? Im 24 guy!

If burnouts are important, you purchased the wrong vehicle. You will break parts, and you will eventually damage your transmission, rear end, brakes, etc. Although the car may be cheap, the repairs will not be if you plan on treating it like a mustang.

Im sort of shocked that this is what the 210 has come down to.
