Upgrading HU on a 99 E300TD...
Hi there,
I need direction: I bought a JVC Single DIN Navigation Receiver KD-NX5000 to put into my MB (to replace the OEM Becker am/fm no-cd no-tape deck.
I talked to the installer at Firedog, Circuit City's installers (I don't know anything about audio installation or how systems work) and I was told that
1. Bose speakers have their own amplifiers
2. I would have to change all the speakers if I wanted the JVC system installed.
Does anyone know if this info is true?
If it is true, I'll sell the JVC and try another solution. I don't want to change the speakers (they sound good to me, and I don't want to spend extra money). I'm looking for cost effective nav/audio solution for my car. Thank you in advance for your advice
