Need info on this tool

Anyone know a online site where i can buy a oil filter removing tool for a 98 E300 turbo diesel? Just got the car not not really familiar with working on it yet. Is it just an over sized socket or is there more to it?

thanks!

Or...

...if you know the specs for the tool, you can also try companies like 'Baumtools' (www.baumtools.com). That's where I got the 14 pt./74 mm Hazet socket for my E320.

Oil Filter Wrench

I bought my oil filter wrench from my Mercedes dealer. It was only a few dollars. Pep Boys didn't carry the correct size.

I have an E430 and was unable to find a match at Pep Boys. I actually have a B size oil filter wrench from Pep Boys at home for my daughter's Malibu, but it is too small. Your oil filter size may also be different than for an E320. You can always go to Pep Boys as I did, and try the different sizes on the oil filter cap on your car to see if one fits yours.
