Good Off-Brand Tires Nexen

Hey guys I just bought a set of Nexen N7000 tires for my car. Tire prices are sick. IMHO I think these are pretty good tires. All 4 for $500.00 installed. The way I go through tires why pay for PS2 or any other name brand I don't think I will notice any difference unless I am going to track the car. For everyday driving it makes sense to me.

Raffi, whats the treadwear rating on them? I'm interested in getting a pair also! I'm looking for cheap performance tires cuz tune-up's costing a bit too much. Also I want to save some money just in case of an emergency... like a MAF failing. Thanks, and where did you get them?

The treadwear is 360. The michelins were 220. THe Nexen N7000 is an all season tire. But for me it's no big deal. I got them at Kenny's tire shop in Reseda. I've been dealing with him for years. If it's something you want for sure I can call him for you and get the best price.

tread wear CANNOT be compared between two different brands. Treadwear ratings can only be used when comparing for example a michelin to a michelin or pirelli to a pirelli - NOT michelin to pirelli

edit** where did you get them if you dont mind me asking

Yeah I'm debating if I should get those or pay a lil more and get brand name Kumho Ecstas, which treadwear is 420. But thanks for the offer Raffi, ill keep it in mind if i choose the Nexens!!

I've been pleased with the Nexen 3000 series for daily driving. I am sure for track performance the other higher priced tires would do much better.

They are good tires, I got the n3000 on my BMW and it works well. Just not sure if you push it to the limit as my cousin found out when he replace his Michelin to Toyo as the ESP keep on flashing everytime he floor his 911 turbo.
