Mercedes E300 TD Avantgarde
Possible Fuel Leak.

Hi People,

I'm a newbie to this site as I've only had my E300TD for about 3 months. I've noticed over the last few months that the car has been slowly losing performance and the i'm only getting about 250 from a full tank. I have read up on Parkers and they have said that I should be getting around 35mpg.

I have a minor fuel leak near the pump which I have been told is the pipes. I have ordered those in and should be changing them on Friday but was wondering at the same time should I change anything else?

Thanks in advance

Danny

Change out the pipes which I hope you mean fuel lines and see what happens. Just check out the fuel pump and filter while you are in there. Make sure they are the actual source of your leakage.

Danny, you should share what country you're in, which engine you have, how many miles it's done, year of mfr., etc. CRD? IDI?
