Alignment Question for Lowered Vehicle.
The work on my car will finally be done tomorrow. The shop show me the car today.
After lower the car with Eibach spring 1.5", the rear tire has a -2 camber. The alignment machine is Hunter.
According to the guy, the alignment is still within factory spec. He explained, if the alignment is not out of spec. or within factory range, it will be green. green is OK regardless of what the number is shown. If the color is red, then he will need to adjust it back to range. -2 camber seems to be excessive to me. Especially, if you look it from behind the vehicle. But he said this is OK.
Would you guys, know what should be the correct spec. for the 99 E320?
Is the spec. same as E55 like the number JOE55 posted?
Is alignment a number fall within a specific range, should it be an exact number?
Is it possible for you to post the exact spec. for the alignment? Or should I use the alignment for E55 since I have did an complete overhaul in suspension?
Last, is there a specific spec. to give me a heavier steering feel or give the car the best performance? With the 2 short block I've driven, I think it feels a little light.
I asked him about camber bolt, he said the tire might rub if I install the camber bolt. I asked what about rolling the fender, he said the stock E320's fender is already rolled. And it would have little room to rolled. Is this correct?
Should I insisted on having them put on a camber bolt? Or buy the camber kit from speedybenz?
I will be going to the shop tomorrow to pick up the car. I'd like to address the problem before I leave with the vehicle.
Thank you very much for your help.
