Rattling/Vibrating sound

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

I ve have this rattling/vibrating sound coming out from the cluster meter and steering while driving between 90kmph to 140kmph. I ve removed the cluster meter and drove the car again on the same speed and the sound persisted. Is there any speed sensors, relays or any clues that I can work with? What could be the problem? Appreciate the help and assistance.

Thanks

This might be a long shot -----but check if that vibration isnt coming from your engine mounts. Maybe one of your mounts is bad or both....i had that happen to me.
And the rattling-----hmmm i'd definitely check my cats if i were u, thats the only rattle ive ever heard on my car.
Good luck, keep us posted.

Hi E43 S

Thanks for your reply. My engine mounts and gearbox mount are pretty new and I have removed my cats by replacing it with a normal silencer BUT since you mentioned about mountings, its probably be the steering rack mountings.

Thank

Actually, its probably your sway bar bushings............. Check them to see if they are worn or dried out. They arent that hard to replace yourself.
