Steering Wheel Rattle
My steering wheel emits an annoying "rattle" and "knocking" feel whenever I drive on roads that are not so smooth. What puzzles me is that sometimes it is rather loud but at times there's none.
My indie workshop thought that it was the upper control arm thus we replaced this plus the balljoints. Seems to have cured it for a few days but now the darn thing is back.
I once tried steering to the left and right when parked (engine off), and I thought I heard the knocking sound. Is this the dreaded rack and pinion thing?
Is there anything else in the suspension system that may be causing this?
