Will bilsteins and H&R's make car lighter?

I have a e420 that feels like an oversized tanker, very heavy and wobbly.

Will new shocks and springs make the car feel lighter?

one might describe the resulting modification (lowering spring plus new shocks)
as 'lighter' but technically speaking, the answer is 'no' it will not. but I would
suggest that the lower center of gravity, higher spring rate, plus higher damp-
ening rate of the shock....all serve to give the car a tighter and more integral
feel when driven in spirited fashion.

I own a 1999 W210 Mercedes.
No...

Just like the dude above said, no it wont. But the stiffer suspension will make your car handle better and give you an overall lighter feel. Once you have the suspension you will not have the "wobbly, heavy" feel. I went with the H&R Sport spings and left the stock shocks,my car feels great . If you go with the Eibach springs you suspension will feel even more stiff.

H&R- More ride comfort, clean looking drop. (with the proper pads)

Eibach- Stiffer and handles better. ( bumpy)

Let us know on what you decide.

What? No...I'm preety sure that Eibachs are smoother than H&Rs. You got it backwards lol.

In a way, I've thought that my car might feel "lighter" from the bilsteins -- mostly because the car doesn't pitch and rock from throwing the weight around as much as it did with my old worn out shocks.
