Display Message on Panel
Hi everyone - This is my first time here - I'm seeking some advice or information on how to remove this message i have on my screen. "Exceeded xxxx miles for Service" and has a picture of a wrench - after 10 seconds it goes away unitl next time I start the car. I tried what the owner's manual said to do - but no luck.
Can I reset this myself ? or do I have to bring this into MB to reset it - Any help is appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

It means you have gone over the alloted time for your FSS service. I assume you saw the Service indicator and ignored it for a while. You can reset it, however. Your manual should tell you how to reset the FSS warnimg msgs.

How to Reset the FSS display...
According to page 116 of the 2001 E320 Owner’s Manual, the FSS can be reset by bringing up the FSS display and then pressing the reset button (R Button on the instrument cluster) for approximately 2 seconds.
The multifunction display will ask you if you want to reset the service interval and you must press and hold the R Button until you hear an audible sound. This resets the FSS for 10,000 miles, 15,000 km for Canada.
