Tax Value... help!
I have a 97 E420 with 85,000 miles... my county tax office wants me to pay vehicle tax based on a "tax value" of $30,000.

Now, we all know this car isn't really worth that. On kbb.com, I see the highest resale value of the car is about $20,000. On NADA.com, it's around $27,000.

My county allows for an appeal process. Can anyone else confirm what similar cars are being listed for in your tax jurisdictions?

try running a search on autotrader or cars.com, you can even go nationwide...
