You can always run your VIN at Mercedes-Benz Club of Russia and that will spit out your complete order and build sheet (which reads/translates all your car's build codes and includes your exterior & interior color codes deciphered!!) Try it, you'll be amazed!

I agree. That is an incredibly useful site. I'm doing an engine swap in a 91 300E. I also will be doing a valve job on a 91 300E at the end of May. I got to thinking I could send the head out to machinist from dead engine and slap it on the car when it comes in with less down time. A check with EPC shows there is an early and late head. A run of the 2 VINs gave me the engine #s of both cars. I now know the heads are the same. Just for sh*ts and giggles I checked the engine and tranny serial #s of the car in the shop with the print out from Russia. The #s all match which means they are right and this car is all original.
