E300 sounds
I thought it might be nice to link to a sound file of my recently acquired E300 Diesel....people post lots of pictures, but for all you mechanically inclined folk, it's all in the sound

Begins with a touch-start, a little rev, then I pull out of the garage and switch off the engine.
Perhaps other Diesel owners would also do the same, if they have the chance.

I guess there are people like me that are luv the sound of their diesel they had to make an mp3 of it. [And I was only joking with my dad when I wanted to tell him I was gonna do the same :-) ]

Nice to see a little diesel pride! LOL that thing sounds like it has marbles in the block!! get some biodiesel in it or good additives. Where was the sound file taken from, and were the windows open?
Also, what year e300?

Hehehe, I guess it does sound like a truck engine. It was recorded using the built in mic on my little Compaq iPaq. I literally leaned it against the wall of the garage, maybe 5 or 6 inches from the front of the car. Also it was started from cold after a day or two of sitting in the unheated garage. Once warmed up, she's much quieter, and only emits a very subtle diesel sound.
I plan to put some LubroMolly or Stanadyne through her regularly as soon as I can locate a vendor.
