Hi all,

Have a 98 E430 that is exhibiting some odd electrical issues which i started seeing over the weekend...

1) Walked away after locking the doors..5 minutes later the alarm went off then it stayed on until I inserted the key and started the car. The only way to make sure the alarm doesnt go off is not to lock the car... not practical these days:-)

2) Another time: the trunk lid would not open, red indicator on trunk console button always on till i started the car.

3) Another time: leave the car unlocked, come back 15 minutes later this time all the windows are down and the sunroof is open.

Has anyone experienced this random behaviour and if so what was the issue?

I have experienced the same problem with the trunk and also passenger side mirror problems ..not returning after being in reverse. Followed Oh Lords suggetion of rebooting computers by removing the negative battery lead and replacing after 10-20 minutes. See manual for how to reset windows and roof.
