2000 E320 Speaker Size
Hey guys.. I've searched the forums but havn't found anything definitive. I've also looked on crutchfield.com and they are trying to say that 5 1/4", 6 1/2", and 6 3/4" speakers will all fit in the front doors. I find that hard to believe...
I have the Bose system without Nav. I'm also curious what size speakers will fit in the dash as well as the rear deck.

the bose I believe has 6" woofers in the deck lid. Not much room below for a larger magnet for an upgrade (also I believe matching Ohmage in Bose systems is a pain.)
If it has blose (I mean Bose
) you'd be better off just adding some bass...or if you really must, replace the deck / amps. These speakers I'm sure would sound better with a new deck/amp (but watch matching Ohms as I think Bose is set real low...) Any car I've had before has always benefitted from new hardware and just leaving speakers in

Thanks for the input. I was considering just changing out the head unit and adding a sub and amp in the trunk. Is there any way to keep the steering wheel controls with an aftermarket headunit? If so.. which headunits in particular are capable of this? Thanks for the help.

don't worry
about running and matching ohms get yourself a nice deck, and replace the old ****ty one, and your speakers will sound soo diff. also. disconnect the subs in the back and run one 12, or just take out those 6's in the back and run some 8's in the there
