Brake Modulation
Hi,
There may not be anything wrong with my car, but I'm curious to see if anybody has an opinion on this.
The car is a 2002 E430 4Matic, and I find it difficult to brake smoothly. It seems like I either end up breaking really early and coming to an abnormally slow stop, or I end up waiting a little too long and come to a fairly abrupt stop. I've driven both a Honda and a BMW, and on both of those cars it felt like the degree of breaking was more proportionate to the amount of pressure on the pedal. The breaking on those cars seemed a little more predictable. Could it be the Brake Assist? I feel like I should be able to judge how much time/distance I need to bring the car to a stop, but for some reason it seems to vary.
Thanks!

Takes a bit of practice to smoothly modulate the brakes but once you catch on they are great. BAS will activate with a rapid application of the brakes and you will certaily know that it kicked in as it really pulls you towards the windshield!!
