Where do you guys get your car serviced? I usually do all the work myself, but I have to replace the lower control arm bushings and I don't have a press or the time right now. How much should this job cost me at an indy shop? I have the OEM parts from Mercedes, just need a place to put them in.

Take it to Fairfax Service Center off Prosperity Avenue, Fairfax, VA. Talk to Reese Sherbaf. Tell him, Amer says hello. I have been going there since I began buying cars. He only works on Bmws, Mecerdes, and Porsches.

Authorized Dinan Shop and AMG shop. They do good work..

I've been looking too but for KMAC installation on rear.

I cant remember the guys name that I talked to (I wanna say Carlos) but he runs the place. Wanted to charge me 10% of his cost on parts that I bring in saying he makes money on parts too so he has to charge me extra to put in my own stuff.
A few places are like that around here at least - one place even made the analogy that:
Bringing your own parts to a mechanic is like bringing your own food to a restaurant.
I think its total BS - thats why I'm going to DIY mine.
For your job you certainly need a press and I know JCP has one b/c I've seen it.
Best way I can think to do it with them is to take the lower control arms in and have him press the bushings and return them to you - but that might not be a feasible option for ya

Hey pal, so how's your camber, caster and toe looking now? Hope it's within spec?

I havent done any suspension adjustment work yet - I was trying to wait for the eibachs to settle all the way. Its been about 6 weeks since installation of the shocks / springs. I know the rears need adjustment but surprisigly to fronts look just fine (but I'm gonna install the adj. bolts anyway b/c I have the "upgraded" control arms and Lemforder ball joints to put in too).
In the pic you can see the rears are out of camber spec...the outside of the tires is barely getting dirty indicating that I'm going to have uneven wear if not corrected.

I figured if raptor3k could remove the control arms and just tell him to press in the bushings then there's no way he could mess that one up....then again?!?

Oh so you haven't install the camber arms yet? I am getting my camber arms from SpeedBnz. I have been waiting for 2 months on this part. We will see how it goes once installed. I did install the camber bolts on front and it's within spec.
