flip down visor light
one of my flip down visor/mirror lights has gone out and i want to know how in the world to change it? i think i can pull it out of the roof but i dont want to break it...anyone do this before?

I just took mine out by gently prying on the outboard edge of the lens with a screwdriver. The lamp will then pop out and changing the bulb is easy.

hey thanks fred....do you know what kind of bulb i have to get? i really want to put a xenon type bulb that emits white light but i dont want to short circuit anything...would that work?

I don't know anything about Xenon type bulbs but I wouldn't put anything in there that would put out more heat than what was there before. The bulb is just the standard dome light bulb that many cars, including my wife's Honda, use. It's a glass cylinder about 1 1/4 inch long and about 1/4 inch diameter with metal contacts at both ends. Looks a little like an old style fuse. Don't remember the wattage. You should be able to get one at any auto parts place.

You can use the white led light to give you the hid effect without the heat. I
