Crank Sensor questions on e320

Im wiring up this monster of a piggyback that will eliminate the stupid MAF and replace it with its own onboard MAP sensor when the cars in boost. It can also retard the engine, acutally substract fuel from the injectors, etc. Basically takes a cruise missle and obilterates my old SAFC . Anyway if you have seen a wiring diagnostic for a e320 I6 M104 it says the crank sensor is a Mag ( "VR" ) sensor and it has two wires labeled "low" side and "high" side. I am wondering which one would be considered the negative and which the postive? Logically I would say high is positve and low is negative but this car has surprised me before.

Here is the monster wiring hell piggyback

Can't you just measure with a voltmeter to confirm?
