My front windows creak after I let them down (but not all the way). Only way to stop this creaking instantly is to hit the up button for an instant.

What gives?

Are the clips worn or is the regulator about to go?

The noise was coming from the window, forward near the passanger mirror. It's gone now beacuse I put a small amount of silicon compound (similar to petroleum jelly) on a Qtip and lightly applied it only into the vertical frame section. this section is only about 6" high and if you do if right and wipe away the excess it make the window perfectly silent, and there are no smuges or smears on the glass. very annoying noise, glad it's gone, been about a half a year and it's still silent.

I have the same problem. where exactly did you put the lube. the whole frame or just the vertical section at the front of the window.

it creaked when the window was lowered and kept on making noise until I would bump up the window. I put some of the lube well inside the glass track but only on the short 6" vertical section. wiped away all the excess and that's the last I heard from it
