I'm newbie, so wanna ask some questions reagarding w210 3.2 CDI, year 2001.


After how many kilometers i have to:

1) change oil in engine with filters ?
2) change oil in transmission ? - i think there was a special oil with number ?
3) change fuel filter ?
4) change oil in steering mechanism ?
5) What means service A ?
6) What means service B ?
7) is there service C, D ?

Hi Roli, my car is the E270 CDI very similar to your 320.
I will try to give you some info.
Oil change is normal after 15000km this can change the computer will determine it depending on driving habit.
Filter change should be done as well.
Transmission fluid on your vehicle is deemed to be for life
but I recommend 60 000 km.

I found and used this info on my tranny
excellent info with a number of photos.

A is a normal service B is comprehensive.
Your computer will indicate which.
There is no C or D.
Fuel and air filters are changed at 80000 if those where not changed before. This is listed under additional work
Power assist steering is checked at every B service.
If you have the MB service booklet you find all this info on page 44 to 68 concerning all models yours too.

about transmission, i'll search in forum...but is there a special oil original mercedes-benz with code/number ?

Hi Roli , the detailed info on transmission fluid change is on Benz World.org you may need to log on I strongly recommend you do. A number of photos and clear instructions including the fluid type. Your transmission ( like mine) has no drain so only part of the fluid can be
changed but a new filter will help a lot already.
Funny your service book is in German mine is English
would be better the other way round I speek German.

No problems Robert I get to it asap I can also send copies of the pics if you are unable to locate. The trannie fluid is 722-6 but you will need some more numbers like filter and parts.

Manfred are you sure about fuel filter ? it is diesel, I remember i change it when was 15000 it was very dirty...and my friend told me what i should change when is 10000...
