1998 E320 4matic Questions

1998 E320 4matic Questions
Today I went to MB Manhattan and put a deposit on a 1 owner 1998 E320 4matic that came from mainline PA. Deal seems good and price is right. 2 Questions:
1. Since 1998 was the first year of the 210 with 4matic in the US, did it have any problems to speak of? I'm good to go with Starmark and extended warranty, but I am wondering...
2. Also: any worries with 1998 being the first year with the V-6 under the hood?
3. Was the 1998 4matic badged as such on the rear decklid? The vehicle I'm considering is lacking the 4matic badge, which I thought might have meant that the trunk had been painted, but the car is clean and under close inspection does not appear to have been painted. Please, if you know anything about the badging of the AWD sedan, pipe in here. The original sticker was still in the glovebox, and indeed it is listed as a 1998 E420 AWD sedan, plus, I don't think MB Manhattan would sell me a fake 4matic...
