99 E320
New Owner
I bought my first E-class this past week. 1999 E-320 I am a US expat living in the UAE and will eventually take this wonderful vehicle back to VA. A friend of mine imported the car from Germany for me. I am having trouble figuring out how to run the AC system and when I do run it sometimes there is a mix of heat and AC??? this is really wierd. Would like some help please.
ALso, being new. What are some of the things I need to look out for while owning this car. Where are good places to order parts and such? Any advice and tips would be most welcome. I am not a car novice. I own a 93 525ia and have done all work myself for years and am familiar with engines and such. Also, the manual is in German, which does me little good. Where can I find one in English.
I feel like I am starting all over again. However, I enjoy the challenge and look forward to learning about this vehicle.

I downloaded the Owner's Manual from the MBUSA / Owner's Online web-site; takes awhile with a 56k connection though.
Adobe Acrobat PDF format, mine was 341 pages but nice to have on computer.
