Disassembly of taillights
I just received an 00-02 OEM set of taillights to update the look of my car. What I'd like to do is use VHT nightshade to slightly darken the lenses. I want to paint the inside of the lens and not the outside.
I heated them in the oven for a while, but that didn't soften the adhesive at all. Has anyone taken their taillights apart? Any ideas on how I can get these open without damaging the housing? Thanks,

E55 taillights are still red in color, and not darkened. I'm not darkening the white back up lights (like the E55 ones), but the brake lights.
I'm doing this because I can't stand the red brake light color contrasting with my metallic red paint.
