Exclamation instrument cluster removal.

Hey there guys. One illumination lights in my instrument panel digital display when out.

Can I just switch out the light bulb?

If so, does anyone know how to remove the instrument panel. (gauge cluster)?

I already tried but I don't want to break anything since I do not see any screws. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

you can buy the tool online or at the dealer... some people use a bent coat hanger or if you're patient you can work it out by hand. It's only held in by a tight fit.

Ok thanks for the replys guys. I actually got it to come out without a scratch.

Its held in with four clips that you need to disengage simultaneously using flat head screw drivers. You can see them using a flashlight.

The light bulb is very simple to replace. You can even replace it with a different color if you like.

Four flat blade blunt dinner knives inserted at 10, 2, 4 and 8 oclock, view by feel or by small flash light, seperating the clips from the indent on the cluster. Then gently wiggle the unit out and disconnect the two wire looms on the back. they only attach one way so no screw up. "It is easy as cake"
