The Zam retros are plenty bright alone and I can count on one hand the times I've used them simultaneously.

In most states it's not legal to run fog lights with the headlights off, if headlights are required at the time. e.g. rain, after dark. I guess it would be legal in daylight fog... but fog lights in that case are to BE seen and have no effect on your foward vision. In any event... I can't think of any situation where fog lights alone would be the best choice if safety is the goal. City lights, side markers, tail lights & fog lights at a minimum. But only if your wipers are off and only in daylight.

When I do use the fogs it's a bad weather day or dusk
So you admit you use your hid fogs when you cause the most glare ever possible to oncoming traffic (dark, wet)?
