Steering difficulty
When I drive my E430, it seems to need constant adjustment in the steering wheel. The steering seems almost too loose.
In my Lexus, it can almost be driven with a finger, but a higher speeds, I sometimes need to use two hands to keep the Benz straight.
As this is my first Mercedes-Benz, is this a characteristic of the car or is it unusual. If it is unusual, how can it be rectified?
Thanks for your input.

No, new tires yesterday and wheel alignment too. It seems as if the car wants to wander from side to side when going straight.

Yes, the problem existed before new tires were mounted, I thought that new tire would help.
The tires are the same size:
235/45/17

Maybe you need to show the problem to your service consultant. It can be also alignment related. I can drive without touching steering wheel at all for long time on freeways. I have feeling that MB is much more stable and require less effort for steering than my Lexus.
