Temp control unit or drier switch.

Hi,

I was told the reason why my AC is working sporadically is because either I have a faulty temp control unit or the drier switch is bad. He said I have plenty of freon and when he bypasses the drier, my ac works like a charm.

I told him when the last AC guy worked on my car, he replaced the drier but this current mechanic said I must also replace the drier switch. I looked for that part, but it must have a different name. Does anybody know what is the actual name of the part?

Finally found out, it's the AC Pressure switch.
