Question regarding Tristar
I am obviously new to the forum - just purchased a 2002 E430 4Matic - I love the vehicle but I just had one question - what happens if someone steals the tristar on my hood? Can it be replaced or can the badge it sits on, on the hood be removed entirely?

the fitting is designed to be removed/replaced with a quick twist after
pressing spring loaded catches on the underside...which you'll see if
the base is still intact. yes, use the search function and type in the
keywords "flat badge" for other posts
