HID Surprise!
Hey All,
I'm in process of doing a little clean up on my dad's 1996 E320 with 168K on the clock before he sells it. It's a highly optioned car with HID and Ortho seats, Bose etc. Anyway, he was getting moisture inside the driver side headlamp. I removed the lamp and decided to remove the lens cover only to discover what appears to be signs of a fire or severe overheat inside the lamp! The bulb and ballast were replaced a few months ago. The lamp still functions and I sealed it up with high temp silicone.
Anyone seen this before?
