No.

The pre-facelift W210's have a temp gauge with a dead spot built into it at 95C. When the temp reaches 95C, the gauge stops reporting until the temp hits 105C, then instantly jumps to that level. I'm assuming the same design was used post facelift......

Use your CCU to acurately monitor coolant temp. Press and hold REST for 5 secs, then use the AUTO buttons to scroll to screen 6. Press RESTto exit.

i thought temp in the 85-95 range is ok, especially if driving in traffic and with ac on. in my gasser it reads at or above 90, and from my experience with mb temp usually reads above middle range. also wouldn't diesels run slightly hotter than gassers. as long as it doesn;t go above 100, it should be ok.

I guess the OP ought to define ambient, and the conditions......They stated it "is staying at 95C" which it should not unless living in the Middle East or Death Valley in teh middle of summer.

I dont know about diesels running hotter. Mine runs at 80-85C on the freeway on 100F days; 80C usually if not a hot day. Will creep up if heavy on the throttle putting a lond on the engine of course, but so would a gasser under the same throttle.
