Spent a nice sunday afternoon with the inlaws. I just had to take a photo and show you guys our euro-benzes! We should put a sign up 'Mercedes Parking Only'...

Yup my car has option code 260: "no model designation on rear lid". So badging it would make it un-original!

its funny, all those cars are better built than the more modern Mercs, especially my w203.
My family is similar, my mother, father, 2 brothers, 3 cousins, 2 uncles, and aunt all drive Mercedes.

German Look
The idea behind it is it makes the car look much cleaner - you can be proud of driving your Mercedes but what's under the hood you do not have to disclose or show off. This is funny because in other countries, like the US, for instance, people will get the biggest car or dadge they can afford just to show off.
Most Mercedes, Porsches and BMWs you see on the road in Germany opt for the debadged vehicle - that even includes most taxis.
