97 E420 rear bumber - AMG vs standard
My bumper is cracked and I'm looking to replace it. I'm selling this car because I bought a newer E class. I want to minimize my costs here so trying to find a used one the same color silver. I found one close to me the same color but it is the AMG one which looks "mostly" the same. The Benz dealer told me they don't match and it won't fit but I'm curious if it will. Will it connect?
Anyone with any experience that could let me know for sure that it will or won't fit?
And if it won't, where should I be looking to try to find a low cost replacement? I'm calling local junkyards and didn't know if there was some sort of listing service since most of these junkyards are extremely unorganized.
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

The AMG bumper looks cooler if you ask me, but if you are selling your car you should be able to find the STOCK rear bumper for a lot less (maybe 100/200 bucks). Most decent condition AMG rear bumpers seem to be selling in the range of $400 used and even more new. The AMG bumper will probably look OK on its own, but you could pick up a set of AMG side skirts to match for maybe $250. The sides of the rear bumper have a bit of a "swoop" that aims towards where the side skirts would be to continue/finish that effect on the sides of the car. Side skirts bolt on in a fairly straightforward manner. I posted some photos and steps the other day in this forum.
