Rear Wheel Bearing Failure

Roaring, whining from rear. Located bad right rear bearing. Replaced both sides April, 2008. No noise. Year and 7K miles later, appears right rear is bad again. More noise. Not finding much on forum searches. Is this car prone to rear bearing failure? Why does right rear keep failing? I have 71K miles on 2000 E430.

i have an 05 c230 and have the same problem with my rear right wheel. i haven't had it check yet, but my suspicion would be a the wheel bearing. took it to the dealer a couple of years back and they told me it was the tires. now, i've replaced my tires and rims and still hear the noise from the rear right.

btw, how much did this repair cost you?

thanks
