Which Koni shocks?

Replacing the Bilstein Sport shocks with Koni on a '98 W210. Since the Sport shocks are not OEM, we're unsure how to indicate which Koni is a direct replacement in a lowered suspension setup.

Also, Koni has a single tube high-pressure shock, and a double-tube, low pressure shock for about 30% more $$. What is the benefit of the latter?

In general, the Bilstein is a high pressure shock, the KONI is a low pressure. I've had both these combinations (and more) on my 1999 W210. The KONI is clearly more street friendly. The KONIs I purchased are the externally adjustable type and set up for a lowered suspension. I think this is what you'd want. What springs are you running? What wheel diameter?

Don't hesitate to call KONI..they've been fairly helpful via telephone in sorting thru the products offered.

My shocks are 8041 -1317 SPORT (F) and 8041 -1318 SPORT (R).
