Do you get a check engine light? If you do check the fault code. If you get the following: P0715 Transmission Speed Shaft Sensor Circuit Malfunction.

You need to get your speed sensor located on the transmission valve body replaced. this is one whole part. Just got mine replaced and runs as good as new. Very smooth.

Good Luck.

Limp home mode would be 1st, 2nd and R only. Trans codes must be erased after repairing before it will work again. OBDII will only show generic trans codes and will NOT erase the underlying MB specific codes.

Suggest having it scanned using dealers SDS laptop.
