I attempeted to replace the blower motor in my 97 E320 (so far unsuccessful, but i am reading the post about it currently)... But while doing so i'm not exactly sure what i did, but the speedometer and gas gauge stopped working. I think it may be a fuse or something of that matter but so far i didn't find any blown... Could someone make a suggestion on what they think...

try replacing teh speed sensor.how many miles does ur w210 have?did you get the blower motor to work

actually i did get the instrument panel to work again (dumb me!!!) it was only the fuse blown... But i still can't get that blower motor to work correctly. When i installed it it continues to run while the car is off and also it shuts off when the fan is put to high from the a/c controls. Besides that it continues to have the brake light on and back light for the a/c-heater controls while the car is off... I did read something about a cheap model from off ebay that wasn't any good and thats what i think i have... could you or someone else tell me the name of it so i can look to see if i have the defective one... Thanks!

i have the same problem with my blower motor it stop working i read a thred that said if u just replace the regulator the blower motor will work is that the part(regulator) u got from ebay?cuz i was thinking of geting the regulator from ebay but if it was a bad part i would rather pay a little more some were else
