Need help- post installation of facelift taillights in 99' E

I have installed a set of 2001 E55 taillights on my E300. The taillights I have installed did not come with their original bulb sockets. I have installed the sockets from my old taillights into the new lights and I'm having a slight problem. It seems that the marker/brake light bulb socket is loose fitting on both sides. This is causing a bad contact for the electric connection and my brake lights aren't working.
Is there a different socket needed for the 2001 taillights? Or, are the sockets exactly the same? If they are different can someone please give me a part number for the proper socket so I can get one? Thanks,

I have 2001 lenses on mine and they are identical to stock in terms of size/shape. Where did you get your lenses? What you describe is what I encountered buying Chinese copies. I soon bought real ones from the dealer and gave away the fakes. Aside from buying another set, your only other option is to try to build up the connection with solder or perhaps straighten out the contact plate with pliers.

They appear to be OEM spec. They lenses have part numbers on the back and the plastic has Mercedes star molds in it. Maybe I'll build up the connections with some solder. Thanks for the tip.
