Mercedes 722.6 fluid. You can find it at parts.com for the cheapest, last time I checked. Also check autohausaz.com or your dealer.

I would not use generic fluid.

You can use anything on tab 236.12 and I beleive up to 236.14 too. Check your OM and revisions.

236.12 is {one} of the newer 722.9 fluids that is backwards compatible to the 722.6.

You should NOT use any fluid not listed as it is likely it will not contan the necessary friction modifiers.
