HELP! Release handle for backseat "jumped of"

What to do now, i guess something jumped of, wire or something on my SW 1996, and now i cant fold down the backseat, nor remove the trunk cover

How to fix this and how to acces the right stuff?

Probably the "release cable" and maybe the wrong name for it but I don't know how to fix it. Try the search function and you'll probably find a couple of threads where this is discussed. Good luck.

You suspected a wire and I called it a cable. Maybe we are both using the wrong term for it but I'm pretty sure that is to blame.

Ok, wire oer cable, doesnt matter, whats wrong is that the release handle on top of the rear seat has broke in the plastic, see picture.

Then, how to replace that unit, or what to do?

Maybe a little bit, at least it looks like you have to remove the entire seat to get to it...
