I have been having intermittent problems with the COMAND CD drive reading NAV CDs. This problem is getting worse, and I was wondering if it is possible toreplace the CD drive in the COMAND unit or must I replace the entire unit?

If I can replace the CD reader, are they available? Can anyone supply a how to guide, etc.

Try mbdoctor.com. They should be able to either have it repaired or guide you better.

 

Probably needs the laser cleaned. I think you can find instructions on here to disassemble and clean it.
