2002 e320 4matic

found a nice car in good shape.. 60k miles.. i think i can get it for 12.5..hes asking 14. It has a complete service history.. cracked tail light which i can replace, and a dent which i can have taken out.. but mechanically.. its in good shape..

any advice on the 4 matic or things I need to look out for?

Are their specific things I need to see that has been done like B service, oxygen sensor replacements, etc, etc

thanks!

Reasonable price I think. 60K miles is nothing. Get the service records, and take it in for an inspection--if it needs brakes or something, you might be able to get another $1000 off the price. I had oxygen sensor problem in my 99 C230, and I've heard from others in this period that the sensors were a problem. But it's not a big ticket issue--cost me $250 to fix, and then never bothered me again.

The 4Matic with ESP is truly remarkable. If you live in a snow/ice state, you'll love it--motoring forward confidently in the direction you're steering wheel is pointed is very nice on snow and ice covered roads. And when the ESP light comes on, and you stay on the road while you see other cars spinning off into the ditch, you really appreciate what you're driving--it's not just a nice ride, luxury, etc...

Good luck...let us know if you get it!

Blue Book says $11,750 (fair) -$13,650 (excellent), so your $12,500 bid is right in the zone.

You'll love the car.

2003 e320 wagon (210 chassis NOT a 211))
KBB

KBB is based on average published LISTING prices, not on actual sale prices.

Edmunds.com TMV is a much better indication of what cars are actually selling for.

W210s are built like tanks...you'll be pleased, good luck on the purchase...only thing I'D be concerned about is I heard 4matics suspension is a pain to modify. Low miles too

2001 E320 RWD - Brilliant Silver/Ash: 100,000+
4matic front end work and parts are more involved and expensive than RWD. Unless you really need 4WD (bad winters) I'd advise against buying one. And I am basing my advice on some MB techs I know who told me the same thing.
